Master in Psychology (Forensics) decides to take a different path toward a doctoral program in political science?

Hey, everyone.

I was wondering whether it's too late to alter my route and get a doctoral in political science. I'll be graduating with an MS in Psychology soon, and I'd like to know whether it's too late to change.

Too late? No. Easy? No.

Whats the undergrad? Are you generally 'school-smart'? High grades and high gre? Have you published anything (this is a strong indicator of future ability to perform research and understanding of how academia operates)?

This becomes much easier if you have a strong math background or a related undergrad (econ) as well. What subfield are you interested in? You need some reason for the adcom to accept you over other people that have PS degrees, research interests, good GPAs and solid GREs.

if you're interested in political psychology and can tie your research interests to your psych experience, you might be a good candidate - depends on other aspects of your profile though

I have a hard time understanding what exactly you are asking.
