Hello!  I am a career-changer starting the pre-reqs for SLP this spring.  I plan to take the GRE in the summer.  Can anyone recommend a website or app to help prepare, especially for the quantitative section?  Thanks!

I used Magoosh which I liked very much. It was worth the $100 for me since it'd been 20 years since I took my last math class. I got a score that I was happy with on my first try.

Manhattan Prep 5lb. book of practice problems. Be aware that programs typically want to see >300 combined V+Q and more heavily weight the verbal score.

I agree with the above.  I got the Magoosh GRE Online Prep course, and it was absolutely fantastic for the quant.  Every practice question comes with a video answer explanation, which was incredibly helpful in figuring out my mistakes.  It would be especially good for a nontraditional student because it gets you used to answering questions on a computer with scratch paper like you will have to do during the actual GRE.

Good luck!

The GRE testing service (I believe it's ETS) has online GRE practice exams for every section and a couple of mock-GRE tests available online. They are completely free and are the closest you will get to actual GRE questions. I found that my scores on the practice exams were pretty much what I got on the actual test.

I also recommend Magoosh. Taking a test online can be quite different than the old fashioned bubbling in on paper. Additionally, having the immediate explanation of an answer when you get the problem wrong is very helpful.

I also really recommend taking the time to practice for the writing portion. That score does seem to matter for many grad scores and if you've been out of school a while, you need to get back into knowing the writing style required.

I actually used Manhattan Prep Books and Magoosh's free vocab apps.  Mostly, I used the Manhattan books for studying for the verbal and AW sections.  I reviewed a little in the algebra book, but since my practice test scores were already good for math, I spent very little time studying that.  Manhattan is nice in that it gives you 6 tests (per book) and then breaks down your results to show you what you did best, worst, fastest, slowest, etc. for each section.  I found that I did several points better on the real GRE than I had been doing on the practice tests.  For the Verbal section, one of the best things you can do is to boost your GRE level vocabulary.  ETS also has a couple practice tests on their website I think, although I didn't get around to using those.

I also used Magoosh. I did all of the verbal lessons and questions and I used the flashcard app (1,000 words). I also watched all of the writing lessons. I did not get around to much with the quant though. My scores went from 151q/152v/4.0 to 152q/162v/4.5 The ten point jump on verbal was worth it! I highly recommend (especially for the price)
