workingjourno
Hello, I'm in dire need of help to find the right masters program. I am a journalist covering healthcare in India, but I have a strong interest in studying more about: English literature, public policy, and the impact of the growing strength of various Islamic terror groups on the world. What masters can I do that combines all this? Even if not all these, is there a good course that combines english literature and politics/public policy? Any advice would be hugely helpful, thanks! Trisha94
Hi I'm not familiar with a degree combining English literature with the other two, but Georgetown's SFS and MPP have courses that suit your interests. Arab Studies is one. Global Human Development is also a really good program that will also draw on you health reporting background. If you're interested in more hands-on courses, then Security Studies is an option. You should also look into Johns Hopkins SAIS.
as4300
Hello workingjourno, For the public policy related to the impact of various extremist terror groups, you might be interested in International Security Policy concentration at the SIPA Columbia University. SIPA also offers flexibility for its students to take some courses at Columbia's School of Journalism. I have not figured out how to connect it to the English literature tbh, but you may explore further while digging out their site. Good luck!
