jamrock9 Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Hi, I just took the CAT form of the GRE last weekend and I'm applying mostly to electrical engineering programs. Do most applicants for graduate engineering programs have subject tests, like in the math, engineering or physics subjects, or do people usually just have the general test? Thanks P
eyne Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 There are no subject tests for engineering. You only have to submit your general GRE score.
jamrock9 Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 That's what I thought a few months ago, but I read somewhere that there is a subject test in engineering, maybe I'm wrong though. Plus some of my applications say it helps to have the scores, but I haven't taken any. Thanks

zilch Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 you can check with the schools you're applying to and see if they require anything beyond the general test. I'm in EE as well and I never had to take a subject test
