bryannach Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Hi everyone! I'm applying for the MA ECS (Early Childhood Studies) program at Ryerson, I've completed the application, but one of my referees is yet to upload his letter and he is out of the country until Monday, which is the day before the deadline. In the case that I am missing a letter on the deadline, would I still be considered or would this completely disqualify me? Is there anything I can do about missing a letter? Thanks.
vestigialtraits Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I think it'd be best to email someone from the program asking. I've seen tons of posts on here saying a late LoR is fine but I emailed a program I applied to and I was told they wouldn't even look at my application without all LoR being there on time (meaning if a letter was late, spots could fill up before they look at my app).
fuzzylogician Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 ^This. Usually it's fine but there are exceptions and we can't give you any guarantees. It'd be best to call or email to find out the information as soon as you can, in case you have to ask for a backup letter last minute, so you can give your backup LOR writer as much time as possible. Most likely this won't be necessary, but it's the only way to know for sure.
