Question

Hello, I want to apply to some Professor/Instructor of Art (photography) faculty positions, and the requirements ask for a MFA degree "or equivalent"- I have an MAT in art ed, with over 60 credits in studio art and 12 credits in art history (way beyond the MAT requirements) , and a substantial professional record in international professional photography, with many photographs published/commissioned, as well as a significant exhibition record in painting/printmaking. Do you have any advice of how to present my record in the application, or is not having the MFA a bigger obstacle that I think?

I am not in your field at all... but since you seem unsure if your qualifications are going to be enough, I would call/email and talk with the departments of uni's you are wanting to apply to. They will be able to answer your question about their requirements much better than we can. And it's what they are there for.
