UChicago undergrad applying for joint CIR degree

This is probably a long shot...But I was wondering if anyone here knows how easy/difficult it is to be accepted into the CIR program at UChicago, particularly for a Chicago undergrad trying to do the BA/MA joint degree. Personally, I haven't heard many people applying/attending the program, so any information or insight on this would be greatly appreciated.
