bee.marie Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Hi everyone! I was just accepted for two different online Speech Pathology Programs: SUNY New Paltz and Idaho State University. I am very conflicted in my decision because both offer a different amount of courses. New Paltz offers 9 and ISU offers 15 (3 labs). I wanted to see if anyone has any feedback on these programs or if anyone knows which I should be leaning towards. I need to get a great GPA to be able to get into a master program, so I don't know if I want to overwhelm myself with the 15 classes, but then again, will I be able to apply to all schools later on with only 9? So conflicted. Please help!
southernspeechie Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I have been accepted to University of Tennessee (ranked #36) and other schools and I did the following: english degree for undergrad prerequsites for grad school: speech science, normal language development, articulation and phonological disorders, anatomy and physiology of communication, basic audiology, phonetics, aural rehabilitation, neuroanatomy, statistics, chemistry and lab, biology and lab, and psychology I only met what you might call the "bare minimum." However, I will add that my overall GPA has remained at a 4.0 for all courses taken so that probably needs to be taken into account as well. bee.marie 1
