Obtaining a Dissertation

Hi, 

How do you obtain a dissertation that someone wrote if you are not currently a graduate student, and don't have access to pro quest?

Have you tried through Inter-Library Loan?

You can also try emailing the author, or trying to see if there's a way to get it from the library of the school where it was written.

Yeah, I will email the author.  I was just afraid that it might not be proper academic etiquette.

The uathor's likely to be flattered that you want to read his/her dissertation.  But of course, there are some that have put the dissertation on embargo and may not share until the book is published.

I would be flattered if someone was willing to go to those links to obtain my diss.
