digits2006 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I am applying to two legal psychology PhD programs who have application deadlines today ( Dec 15). Any idea when these committees will start meeting? Part of me wants them to meet soon so I can find out my fate. But, of course one of my letter writers has not submitted her letters. This prof is my strongest letter too! Ahh. But, do you think that they will meet back in the new year?
NeuroNerd86 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I think it depends on the program. Check the results section to see when the notifications start rolling. I'm with you on waiting on professors. One of my applications is due today and is fully done except for one letter.
tarski Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 go here: http://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/ and search for "(school name) psych*". For example, Tufts psych* shows us that for the past 2 years they got back to people in the first week of February.
digits2006 Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Ya I have done that. But the two schools are not on there for my section. So I have no clue what they are going to do.
tarski Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Oh, well then it's harder . You could try stalking their websites, maybe. Last year, the MIT meeting date for looking at philosophy applications was on their public calendar, if I recall correctly.
