SOP Intro, or, I'm driving myself crazy - stop this madness

Hi everyone,

Is anyone interested in another SOP swap? I've read through a lot of excellent critiques, yet I'm a bit hesitant to post my statement online. I greatly appreciate your help, and will definitely return the editing favor with frightening enthusiasm.

Anyway, I feel like I've edited it beyond recognition, and the whole thing is now meaningless. Questions: is the whole thing just a bunch of cliches and idealistic rhetoric? Is it painful to read through to the end? :-?

Also, not sure about using so much space to talk about objective ideas, trends, processes, etc.
