Recommender's title

When I studied abroad last semester, one of my recommenders was the Department Chair. Therefore, I registered him as Chair in my recommendation's provider's list. However, I just got to know that he is currently the Graduate Program Director since this semester. I couldn't change his information now... will it be a big problem if the information I gave doesn't match the information given by my recommender? Thanks if any one knows how to deal with this situation.

Normally title refers to "rank" i.e. Assistant, Associate, Professor.

I would be surprised if anyone said otherwise, but maybe it depends what they're looking for.
