Lantern Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 The question on my assistantship/fellowship application (for the school itself, not outside funding) reads: "From what other sources (savings, trust funds, government sponsorship, etc.) will you receive aid? Please specify amount." I think they're asking how much of my savings I can commit to fund myself, and not what is really in my savings account, but how do I answer this?

Interesting take on the question. I left that question blank.
fuzzylogician Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I always said zero or something close to that because obviously I could never support myself at a place that didn't give me full funding. Taking out loans to go to grad school was never an option.
Victorianna Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 In this case I was able to list 2 award that I have received for graduate study, but as for savings or any other income to contribute I was SOL
