hajimemashite Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) Hello, - I am an international student with a BS degree in computer networks and security from a US university. - I have applied for the PhD program for FALL 2010 semester at 5 different US universities. - I was wondering, if for example I don't meet the conditions to be accepted as a PhD student, do Universities automatically give me a chance to prove myself by deferring me to the MS program? or does my application get thrown into the ignore pile? - Please help. thanks Edited January 2, 2010 by hajimemashite
joro Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Some Universities will do that and it would have been specified during your application process. If you didn't see any of that, then it is likely that they will not defer you to the MS program. I know Stanford has the option.
