fouriertransform10 Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I would like to highlight the fact that my best academic year was my third year, as I feel it demonstrates my ability in more rigorous courses. For reference, cumulative is 3.15, and 3rd year is 3.54. Is it appropriate to put my 3rd year GPA on my grad school resume, in addition to my cumulative one?
sjoh197 Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I would not pull out a specific year. However, it is common for people to highlight their discipline gpa...So for me, it would have been just what I made in my geology courses. Also, lots of schools look at the last 60 hrs or so. So if you have finished your degree, you can perhaps highlight that instead. fuzzylogician and knp 2
fouriertransform10 Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 That is what I believe in most cases. However, a particular school I am applying to only uses 3rd and 4th year grades in GPA calculation. Would it be appropriate in this situation?
fuzzylogician Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 It would be unnecessary in that case, wouldn't it? You will have already given your 3rd/4th year grades and GPA in the application itself. What do you gain from also listing it in your CV?
