PETRAL6
I am supposed to go to U Chicago for an interview weekend this weekend and there are supposed to be (among other things) a grad student dinner and party at a student's apt and a faculty dinner and party at a faculty member's house. I was told that the faculty party is more fancy, but I have no clue what that means. What do you wear to these kind of things. PS- I am a woman and so I understand if guys don't understand my confusion, we just have so many clothing options with so many different purposes! shellybe
i hate this dilemma. i would just wear black pants and a button-up shirt with a collar. good luck!
Guest
I am currently a student there. Dress would depend on the school you applied to. My program is very informal in tone and dress, but some of the other programs are much more formal. Would you mind sharing which school you have applied to at the university? PETRAL6
Sure... biopsychology... I just wrote the person I am staying with though and asked. She was really quick to reply and really helpful, so I am a little less stressed now. It seems that everyone I've gotten stuff from is in Goldin-Meadow's lab, so it might be a joint visit between a few labs or something? What are you studying? By the way, thanks for advice too Shellybe
