Stemlike Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Hi fellows. I'm an international applicant and I've applied to a few biomedical programs. Do you know if universities usually invite internationals to come on campus for in-person interviews like they do for domestic students? And, if so, are they usually able to subsidise the cost of the trip? Thanks!
blc073 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) I've heard international applicants are usually interviewed via Skype. But I'm sure this depends heavily on the program. Edited December 12, 2016 by blc073 Stemlike 1
Neuro15 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 From what I've seen most programs will pay for your hotel and flights within the States, but your flight from your country to the US won't be covered. Stemlike 1

I second this I heard that some schools "might" pay for international flights like Weill Cornell, UCSF and Stanford Stemlike 1
Nomad1111 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I'm an international residing in the U.S, and so far I've had domestic travel/accommodations covered. Some programs also extend that coverage to Canadians, in case you're there Stemlike 1
Stemlike Posted December 19, 2016 Author Posted December 19, 2016 Unfortunately, I don't seem to be getting a whole lot of interviews, this question was a little too early and optimistic lol. Nevertheless, thanks for the answers!
chanoschanos Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 What about those internationals residing in the US? Do they include them for an interview at the same time as the US citizens?
