Question

Posted (edited)

Hi y'all, I would like to ask you how does my profile look like. I am a senior majoring in Electrical Engineering at an university in the US. I've applied to graduate schools for MS or PhD.

- GRE: 323 (V:153, Q:170, W:3.0)

- One 1st author IEEE paper

- 4.0/4.0 GPA (got all A+ for all major courses), plenty of project experiences, participating in a big competition as team leader (selected for second round), military service, research awards, lots of scholarships, volunteering for 2+ years

- 3 Strong LORs.

All projects, competition, publication are related to my research interest.

Here is the list of grad schools that I have applied:

MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, UIUC, Michigan, Georgia Tech, Caltech, Purdue, Ohio State University, UT, VT, Wisconsin, and some more.

Thank you very much in advance.

I am also new to the application process, so I'm hardly qualified to chance you. However, your 1st author publication, GPA, projects, extracurriculars, and GRE Q are impressive. Your confidence in the strength of your LORs is also a very, very good sign. I would not be surprised if you got some of your top picks.
