I_Love_STEMed Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Dear fellow fellowship hunters - Besides the NSF GRFP, which now has a category for STEM Education and Learning, are there other field-based fellowships that STEM education PhD students would be eligible for? Or, perhaps I should be looking for fellowships related to Education? Thanks for any advice!

For $ for your actual data collection (i.e. to conduct dissertation fieldwork/research), I believe you could apply for an NSF Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant. Ask your advisor and colleagues about this one. If you're already done with data collection and writing your dissertation, you could look into the National Academy of Education/Spencer Dissertation Fellowship Program. This funds the final year of dissertation writing, for people working on education issues.
