Skype Interviews

Hello!

I am wondering if opting for a Skype interview rather than fronting exorbitant travel costs will negatively impact my admission chances. Because I have interviewed people via Skype, I am aware of the awkwardness of Skype interviews, and the glitches that often accompany them. Nonetheless, it will be a big stretch for me to fly in and get off time from work. 

Does anyone have thoughts?

I have talked to a lot of schools that have said they don't think any differently of you if you're out of state or out of a 6 hour drive. They understand and that's the whole reason they have Skype interviews offered.
