  1. I have gotten funding from 2 schools. I think I am going for the school with the lowest ranking, but best financial aid package and lowest cost of living. I feel like owing $10k in debt is a lot better than $30k...or $80k.....or even $120k.... Given that the salary cap on this profession is around $120k, I don't think it's worth owing more money than I have to. I know friend in law school have said connections really matter--but I think in the health sciences it isn't such a big deal if your school has the "brand name" or not. But perhaps I'm wrong?

  3. Did anybody get asked to do a second interview at BU? I applied to MS/PhD program and just got an email to schedule for tomorrow if possible...
  4. @gdblover Here are my stats: Cumulative GPA: 3.94 Post-Bacc GPA/Comm Science: 4.0 GRE Verbal: 167 GRE Quant: 154 GRE AW: 4.5 I'm an out of field applicant.
  5. Did anybody hear a timeline of when they are supposed to release a decision?
  6. @BeachySpeechy I applied for the on-campus program. The interview's length makes me feel like it's just an extra tool for sorting through applications, but I'm not sure what the ratio of applicants interviewed to accepted actually is....
  7. I'm curious to see how they narrow down everybody. I have heard they interview a very large pool, so fingers crossed for future good news, everyone!
  8. @madisonrd I am unable to attend the open house, but I did inquire about funding. They said that the Dean of Students was making decisions about how many scholarships/fellowships would be offered this year, and that information would be available sometime in March. Hopefully we hear something soon!
  9. Hello! I am wondering if opting for a Skype interview rather than fronting exorbitant travel costs will negatively impact my admission chances. Because I have interviewed people via Skype, I am aware of the awkwardness of Skype interviews, and the glitches that often accompany them. Nonetheless, it will be a big stretch for me to fly in and get off time from work. Does anyone have thoughts?
  10. Hello! I also received an admission offer. I am really wondering if any financial aid/assistantships are available, especially since I'm out of state. Very exciting!
