Tinaye you are also from Zimbabwe. Best of luck to you too. I was just going through their annual scholarship publication http://pubdocs.worldbank.org/en/887451490013013188/2016-Annual-Report-Scholarships-Program.pdf. Its a very competitive Process. Out of 5000+ applicants, they give the scholarship to less than 200 students.

Yes I am Zimbabwean. Best of luck to both of us. Yes the selection process is quite tough and I would frankly say its the  survival of the fittest that makes it to the final selection. As far as I know, the final selection list or email has not yet been issued. The only email circulation that was sent was the request to submit offer letters, mostly to those who did not attach offer letters during the application period.

Hi, everyone. I applied last year for this scholarship and was informed to send the conditional uni offer letter. But could not gain the scholarship. Again this year, I have sent the deffered university offer letter with initial application. I did not get any emails from JJWBGS secretariat to again submit the offer letter. Will that not affect my application?

15th June is on the corner, please do inform if any receives emails from jjwbgs.

My hope is slowly fading now.I should think of finalising my education loan application very fast now. Just to have a safety net.

@Mide, pls google selection process for JJWBGSP  2017/18, select JJ/WBGSP option and then scroll to selection process. That is where they indicated that the secretariat will announce the winners in July.

So we still have some time to keep on waiting.

At some point in the past few week the JJ/WBGSP website was updated and the notification date of "mid-June" was changed to "mid-July".  Back in February when applications were due it said "June 15".

Mid-July is awfully late for those hoping to start programs in August!

World Bank can be a pain at times especially when it comes to communication

Hey I have heard from a previous JJWBGSP that world bank gives about 2400 euros per month as the  LIVING ALLOWANCE in THE NETHERLANDS. Is this true? Can anyone confirm this news? Just to remind that the living allowance varies on the host country.

Its difficult for me to think about living allowance when I do not have the scholarship yet . Worldbank has really stretched my patience I tell you

Let's still hope for the best,

My College which I have been admitted..Williams College- in US last week made an inquire to the World Bank as to when will JJWB applicants being contacted.

In short they were told to weeks to come..which means from 3rd-15th July any thing can happen.

This is just to complement the mid-july claim.

All the Best Friends

Let the count down to mid July begin. 12 days to go. :-)  My university has notified me that they have not received any news from the World Bank scholarship office as well. We are still in the race peeps, keep the faith, stay focused and even pray more.

Nice one from you Tinaye. I was afraid when my university emailed ME on 26/06/17 that they are yet to hear from JJWBGS. Now the hope should be higher. God doesn't delay to deny... Victory shall come our ways. I BELIEVE!!!
