  1. Hmm how did you go about it? Did you ask for a waiver or the programs you were applying to did not require GRE?
  2. In my opinion I wouldn’t jeopardize taking the test again. International Relations focus does not need such a high Quants score. 159 is not bad either. Focus on preparing a stellar application to accompany those great scores. If it was Economics focus then yeah the quant score will be slightly low. Overall, you are good to go with those scores. Focus on your applications. It will I’ll be good to know what strategy you used to have a good verbal score? all the best!
  3. Guys I know some of you might have lost hope of studying in the US. For those international students who would want to borrow without a US co-signor to finance their studies, kindly drop me a message and I will direct you to a reliable loan provider for International students. Finances are only available for US Universities. Thank you.
  4. Wow!!! I did not receive the email as well so that ultimately mean that I was not selected yuk! Congrats to all who made it to the final selection. Do not be surprised about the outcome, its World Bank (decisions are made by humans and they are bound to make mistakes at times) so whatever outcome you receive should not deter you from trying better options elsewhere. Never give up!
  5. Let the count down to mid July begin. 12 days to go. :-) My university has notified me that they have not received any news from the World Bank scholarship office as well. We are still in the race peeps, keep the faith, stay focused and even pray more.
  6. World Bank can be a pain at times especially when it comes to communication
  7. Yes I am Zimbabwean. Best of luck to both of us. Yes the selection process is quite tough and I would frankly say its the survival of the fittest that makes it to the final selection. As far as I know, the final selection list or email has not yet been issued. The only email circulation that was sent was the request to submit offer letters, mostly to those who did not attach offer letters during the application period.
  8. Do not worry, Heller understands the procedure as to how the WBG Scholarship operates and once you are selected, Heller will work tirelessly to ensure your visa process is expedited. The responses should be out by the 16th of June if all goes well. So meanwhile, relax and enjoy the last days before grad school commences. Best of luck.
  9. FYA: Check on current announcements from World Bank Group. JJ/WBGSP: The Call for Scholarship Applications for JJWBGSP preferred master degree programs is closed. Applicants receiving scholarships will be informed in mid-June. http://www.worldbank.org/en/programs/scholarships#5 Kindly take note and read carefully.
  10. Those who did not submit their offer letters during the application process were given a chance to do so... It does not mean that when you did not get that message you are out of the race... Just be a little bit patient, the finalist list will be out next week before Friday I presume. Best of luck to you all.
  11. If you are still interested in applying this year again we can do it together. I think I know a few tricks and I am also in Germany. Just reach out.
  12. Hello folks, Is there anyone preparing for the GRE test? I need a study partner. Best regards, Tinaye
  13. Dear Colleagues, I know it might be frustrating to patiently wait for the outcome from WBG. They clearly indicated on the website that they will respond mid June... Hope this helps.
