SpeechLaedy Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Anyone else getting emails lately regarding open houses at the schools they've applied to? Is it recommended to attend if you've already applied (i.e., is there a greater chance of being accepted/considered if you go)? Or are those typically for people who haven't applied yet and it's just spam mail from being part of the mail list once you apply?
maurmaur Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I kind of doubt it really could make a difference simply because those who can afford to go or live nearby are then given an advantage of some sort. I got one from Northeastern a little while ago but haven't got a response about being accepted or not yet.
K8eCastle Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I would imagine that it's for people who will be applying for Fall 2018. It seems kind of late in the game for schools to be having open houses for 2017 applicants.
