  1. I received an email outlining a bunch of our basic clinic stuff at WSU/EWU and our basic dress code is: solid color dress pants polos and shoes you can wear in an emergency
  2. I can't speak to the paraprofessional side but it seems several people I got into grad school with were ABA therapists as was I. I feel like I have a better handle on how to handle behavior. also I work at a clinic with speech and am involved with the speech sessions
  3. My school (WSU) automatically did the Gradplus loan. They have a break down on my student center. It shows the $20,500 and then what is gradplus. The amount they gave me fits what the estimated cost of everything is on the financial WSU website. There's categories for things which is how they determined what to loan me (tuition, books, board, living expenses, transportation). I submitted the FAFSA in January and received a package before I was even accepted to the school. ive emailed the school basic questions like how does summer aid work and can people ask for more, etc? Mainly because I've never taken out student loans and just want to make sure I understand everything before I accept my loans on my student center. If anyone has any more info, I'll gladly take it
  4. So I know which school I am going to, (WSU) and I've been working on figuring everything out I need to do before everything begins. I was looking at the financial section of my student center page and it says estimated. So this is the amount I've been awarded right? How do you know if it is enough? I just have never taken out student loans before so I just want to know what's happening really.
  5. Haha, I know, we've discussed it! But for anyone else who hasn't, it's certainly worth watching. I quoted your post but should have just said it for everyone!
  6. I do DTT everyday of my life basically. ABA will also provide good ways to collect data
  7. Also look up ABA sessions! I'm an ABA therapist and plan on definitely using some of the methods we do in my career.
  8. A book you guys might enjoy is NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity. Again, more for the people who work with people with autism but it's fantastic!!

You will be riding on major roads but I don't see why bike would be an issue. It does get really hot though!

Nope, but I think I've passed by them several times! Bike would probably be a good way to get to campus from there. People steal bikes off of campus and around a lot, so make sure to get heavy duty locks if that's what you decide to do!
  11. There is one, just search for it! Something like northeastern university SLP 2019
  12. Private messaging you my email!

How far from campus is it?

I would just say that it's not something I would rely on for my only form of transportation I guess.

I was just checking this thread because I was an undergrad in Tucson. I would keep in mind the shuttles from apartment complexes can be cramped and hot and often end decently early
  16. Hello! I searched for Spokane and it seems like it's only mentioned when Pullman is mentioned. I'll be moving to Spokane in the fall so I was wondering if anyone knows anything because I know absolutely nothing!
  17. No it was Northeastern but for the same reason, I declined. It's a great program (at least from what I can tell), but simply too expensive when compared to other schools I was accepted at.
  18. I ended up getting into a few schools. One was super expensive in Boston but about double the price of another so that was out. Another program was brand new and about as much as the most expensive so that was out. Then I got into my dream school off the waitlist vs a school that is about 3 hours from me where I live now and I could live with family. My dad told me to take the emotion out of it and make a list of pros and cons. Then have other people look at it too and if there is a clear winner, probably at least consider that strongly. If there isn't, put the emotion back into it. Turns out my dream sounds better when compared to the other one even without the emotion!
  19. I happy cried! I was incredibly happy when I got into other schools but this was the happiest!!
  20. I GOT INTO WASHINGTON STATE WHICH IS MY DREAM SCHOOL!!!
  21. I just created one but put WSU first in the title oops oh well
  22. Made a group for WSU/EWU! Just search for it, I'll add a link later!!
  23. It's between that and another school both of which gave me an end of April deadline to accept and pay my deposit. Northeastern is however double the price of the other school. So I don't know yet.
  24. Hello! I am currently waiting on 3 waitlists all of which I'd probably accept over the school I'm accepted to and am planning on accepting. That school I don't have to pay a deposit until the 26th. How long are you guys waiting for waitlists and letting that keep you from picking a school?
