  1. It was for me! I work at a clinic that really needed people which made them take more than those who had done ABA before! I would contact clinics in small towns and not large companies, large companies tend to draw people with higher qualifications it seems. Most have to train you the way they track their data and handle different things so I would definitely just apply!
  2. I want to know all about it!!! What are your reasons for it being so wonderful?
  3. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions about this program? Thanks!
  4. Agreed, the other school I got into is also super expensive. However, the tuition is slightly slower than my other school which with the cost of living makes it about equal. So I'm leaning towards it until I know about waitlists. I'd like to figure out how much it would be to commute. Also congrats to you too!
  5. That's my plan! I basically just found out I even got in.
  6. No, but I planned on emailing the coordinator this evening about funding. This is a major factor in my decision and I'm honestly nervous about paying for this program. How did you know you got it? And my deadline is the 27th for them but I have another school with a 15th deadline.
  7. Right now I'm leaning towards Northeastern
  8. Okay so here's my situation: I was accepted at Northeastern and RMUofHP both of which are super expensive. I was also waitlisted at 4 schools. i would have to pay the RMUofHP deposit by Saturday or Northeastern's by the 27th. im trying to decide between those and if I pick Utah, and then got in somewhere else, I'd go there but lose my deposit. If I pick Northeastern, I'd hold off to avoid paying a deposit I can't get back
  9. It takes about 13 months to get all of your hours while working at an ABA center. At mine, the ones who are in their master's programs work as assistant program manager's while they work on their master's online.
  10. This is really helpful, I found some things about my possible program that I private messaged you about.
  11. I also appreciate you posting this. I got into Northeastern today and while expensive, it might be a better school.
  12. Did anyone start one for Northeastern?
  13. GUYS, I JUST GOT INTO NORTHEASTERN!! Now, that I have another school to consider, what do you guys think of Northeastern/Boston for school? Can anyone find the cost for Northeastern?
  14. How do you know you are on the first half? I know there is the first tier and then the rest of us. But for all we know, the first tier could be 10 people and the rest could be 15 or something, I'm hoping it's not half and half
  15. YAY CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy for you!! i hope that means there's some hope for me
  16. Yeah, same! I will be working towards that as well! I really do like that medical focus but I know you can make your program work for you no matter really where you go so I don't know!
  17. This is how I feel! Cost is really my biggest worry (since it seems on the higher end)
  18. I've also heard the same as long as it is accredited that's what matters. also just making the most of your education wherever you go! You can make the experience matter.
  19. Yeah I work with kids with ASD, I think I overall know how to do therapy which is a great thing to apply with experience
  20. ABA therapist, what state are you in?
  21. I'm most likely going to Rocky Mountain (unless I get off the waitlist at WSU or Pacific). I'm still waiting on some things, but I wanted to also bump up this thread!
  22. A couple of places! I will most likely be accepting as well. I was waitlisted at 2 schools that are my top choices. If I end up accepting and then get into one of those, I'd have to then seriously weigh my options.
  23. Okay, so it's kind of a accept your acceptance and wait to hear back sort of thing? I'm just nervous/wanting to get started now because I'm worried about making sure I can pay for all of it! But I'm guessing even if I have to take out private loans, it's possible.
  24. Keep in mind, it is more competitive in the medical field, but this is mainly in populated/popular areas to live. If you are willing to live in a place no one else really wants to live, you'll have less competition.
  25. Hello! I received my first acceptance this afternoon! I'm super excited. What is the next step apart from accepting an acceptance? I will most likely accept. My top choice (which I actually think is also cheaper) I was waitlisted at and so I am going to possibly wait and see about that one. I need to weigh pros and cons now that I actually know I will be somewhere in the fall! However, in the meantime, I didn't have to take out loans for my undergraduate education. I am the oldest in my family. Basically, I have no idea where to start about paying for graduate school. I have a little saved up, but pretty much will be paying with my graduate education with loans. Where do you start? I filled out my FAFSA, because I knew that, but what do I do now?
