Waiting on Funding Packages

Hello Friends,

I've only been accepted into one program to date, but I am still waiting to hear back about funding. I called the department after I received my acceptance on February 21st, and they informed me that they submitted my application for fellowship nomination and they were waiting to hear back. When should I realistically expect to have a funding offer? Is there anyone else out there also waiting on funding?

I am also waiting for funding. I have been admitted into Albany and MSU, but neither of them is offering me funding at this time. Albany put me on the waitlist for funding. DGS from MSU told me I am on the waitlist for funding and she would tell me my accurate place on the waitlist this week.

I've heard about some funding offers not be provided until after the visitation weekend. I think they use it as an extra motivator to choose their school.
