Adelaide9216 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 In your opinion, which university has the most radical/grassroots social work program in Canada? I heard that most programs are "clinical" and do not address much systemic oppression..
hellotoricraig Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Hi! I wonder - have you developed any thoughts on this as you've been working through your MSW? I am interested in applying to radical programs in Canada - was specifically hoping to study in Montreal, but the MSW at McGill doesn't look particularly compelling. Am currently leaning toward programs at York or University of Toronto. I'd be excited to hear your perspective, or learn about any good resources for researching Canadian programs.
Adelaide9216 Posted March 24, 2018 Author Posted March 24, 2018 Yeah, in terms of being progressive, McGill is getting there but I believe that there are more progressive schools of social work elsewhere in Canada.
