Adelaide9216 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Hello, what are the requirements to become a social work professor in university (diplomas, years of experience, etc.) I'm trying to look at job postings in Canada and in my city, but it's a bit harder to find. Thank you,
green_dots21 Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Looks like you can become a lecturer with a MSW and two years of post-MSW experience. A PhD is required for professorship.
Adelaide9216 Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 Would community/institutional settings hire a clinical social worker with a Ph.D?
jm2012 Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 (edited) Most would not hire a Phd because they would have to pay more! A downside to the Phd for sure! Edited April 12, 2017 by jm2012
