ZachGv Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 (edited) Hey Everyone, So I am deciding between UCLA and UCI for a Phd in physical/computational chemistry. Currently, I am at UCLA for undergrad and one of the main things I'm struggling with is is if it is worth it to go to a worse school for graduate school in order to have a different experience? I enjoy both departments, and if I did stay at UCLA I would be changing labs, so I would at least be with a different PI. In my eyes all other aspects (location, current research being done, meeting with other prospectives, ect) are equal and it is coming down to previously mentioned dilemma. Any advice or thoughts are much appreciated! Edited April 14, 2017 by ZachGv
rising_star Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 What do you mean when you say that UCI is "a worse school"? Why did you apply if it is indeed worse? materialsgirl 1
