helpme12
I have been accepted into Sarah Lawrence and The New School for an MFA in poetry, and I'm having such a hard time deciding between the two. I know they are both great programs with amazing faculty. The New School is offering a 50% Provost scholarship while Sarah Lawrence, without much surprise, is only saving me a couple thousand. I have visited the Sarah Lawrence campus and hear great things about the problem so I am leaning towards it, but I don't know enough about The New School to make a definite decision. I would really love anyone's thoughts and opinions and if you are or have been a part of any of these programs what were the pros and cons. Thanks! jazzontherocks
Hi. I got accepted to the New School for a Media Studies MA. From the accepted grad students group on FB, the Creative Writing students seem excited, and it definitely looks like a great program based on the curriculum on the site (I once considered applying for it before deciding Media is for me - still waiting on USC though). Heard Sarah Lawrence offers a specialized class in sci-fi/fantasy writing as part of the program, and that might interest you if you're into the genre.
