WanaBSLP Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Hello!! I was wondering if any SLP-Assistants (associates degree) have been able to use their credits towards the CSD prerequisites. Some (SLP-Assistants) have said that they retook all the prerequisites over again but from my understanding we were only lacking two. I’ve tried contacting the head of program and and set up an appointment to meet but that doesn’t look like that will be happening.
Crimson Wife Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Are you applying for a post-bacc/2nd bachelor's or an extended masters? I know for the 2nd bachelor's I did, there was a maximum of 5 credits that could be transferred into the program.
WannabSLP124 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I think it really depends on the university. I did not have to retake any of my SLPA specific courses, but I know there are some programs that will. One program coordinator said the issue with SLPA coursework is they often don't include assessment.
