  1. Called Western Carolina after seeing some acceptances and some rejections and they sent out their first round, and if you didn't hear you're still in the pool or on the waiting list. I'm on the "waiting list" I guess lol we should get an email when they update the VIP portal
  2. Got waitlisted at USF, but I haven't seen anyone get rejected yet so I don't know how to feel about that lol. I emailed University of Georgia and they said they should be sending out decisions middle of March!
  3. Does anyone have any information on South Carolina State University? They have an extremely late deadline for Fall 2016 admission (June 15), and I'm starting to consider my options if I don't get accepted to any of the schools I've applied to. If I don't get into the 9 I applied, maybe I'll apply here just to see what happens. Just curious what the reputation of the program is and what it's like. Thanks!
  4. I've had a few schools (University of South Florida and University of South Carolina) emailing me asking me questions about my pre-reqs and making sure they fit, asking me about my experience and observation hours, etc; should I be taking this as a good sign? I don't want to get my hopes up because they're both good and competitive programs, but does this bode well for my application at these schools and at less competitive programs? Does this mean they're interested? I had a professor tell me if they weren't interested in accepting or wait-listing you they wouldn't even bother. Trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel in this extremely anxious time haha!
  5. A few of the schools I've applied to require me to take neuroanatomy if I get accepted and it's the only pre-req I haven't taken and am not able to take at my university. Anyone know of any schools that offer an online neuroantomy class? I could not find one in my state (NJ, there might be one but I wasn't successful).
  6. Hey guys! Just joined this today after a recommendation from a girl I know in a graduate program. I'm a senior right now pursuing my undergraduate degree in health sciences with a concentration in communication disorders. I'm graduating in the upcoming Spring semester. I'm basically done with all of my applications, and the waiting game is killing me. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out my chances of getting into the programs I'm applying to. I have a 3.836 overall GPA with a 3.79 CD GPA (developmental psych killed me here). I just retook the GREs, I scored 152 VR 149 QR and 4.5 AW (I am noooot a good standardized test taker). I've worked in a hospital's dietary department from Fall 2013 through the present. I've shadowed at a nursing home twice, and ever since June I volunteer and shadow with a speech therapist at the hospital I work at once a week. I've also babysat and I put that on my resume just to show I've worked with kids too (not really my thing though, I want to work with adults). My first letter of recommendation was from a professor I've had multiple semesters, always got As in, and she rated my final treatment plan as one of the best in her recent semesters. My second letter was from an adjunct professor I had for one semester, I got an A in her class (could not find another professor for the life of me). My last letter came from the speech therapist that I volunteer with. My personal statements are strong and I sent them all to my writing professor to critique. I'm applying to Stockton University, Kean University, University of South Florida, University of South Carolina, University of Georgia, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Western Carolina University, and University of Delaware. If anyone could think of a last minute school or two that might be a soft option for me with my stats that I could add through CSDCAS I would appreciate it. EDIT: Forgot to add, member of the Golden Key International Honor Society (which means I'm top 15% of my graduating class) and I've gotten Dean's List every single semester.
