If anybody has questions that I might be able to help with, just ask or PM me. My field is Latin American literature with a secondary emphasis in Francophone literature. I will apply to the MA at Georgia State as a backup but would really prefer one of the PhD programs. Sé que el programa de UNC es muy bueno - asisto a NC State en Raleigh, he vivido en "the Triangle" por veinte años y tengo muchos amigos que asistieron a UNC y que estudiaron las lenguas, unos para el programa posgrado. En otro tema, si alguien esta pensando en publicar unos articulos, trabajo como editora de produccion en The Spanish and Portuguese Review--una revista de estudiantes posgrados por el American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Yikes! Y dos personas fueron aceptadas el 18 y el 20 de enero. Fui aceptado en UGA (MA with assistantship - Spanish as major language and French as minor) y South Carolina (MA/PhD - still waiting on assistantship decision).
