Thank you! I just want this to be over and to know where I'm going. The worst part is that I will be at a music festival on Friday and will have very spotty cell reception... aka I will be FREAKING OUT trying to check my email. Most importantly though, I hope this week is amazing for you!!

AGREED! I'm having terrible flashbacks to the day I was accepted to UF. They had us wait until 5, and then because of the huge number of people logging onto the portal to check their status, the server crashed! I didn't receive any information until 11 pm that night. Talk about torture! Hopefully since CSD isn't nearly as large as an incoming freshman undergrad class, the server will be stable enough to handle all of us. I recommend logging on around 4:30 or so and checking the application status portal rather than just waiting for an email. You never know

Hi again! Nope, I'm currently at UF, but I have applied to FSU as well. I know that UF is a FAR reach for me, and FSU is pretty competitive as well, but I'm hoping for the best. Aside from that, I've heard some great things about the FSU program.

jmarti, don't lose hope on that just yet! My best friend goes to FSU and her spring break starts this Monday, which is also the day we will be hearing from FSU. It's getting pretty late in the semester, so maybe these departments are just going to push through and get those letters out despite it being their spring break. I could just be overly optimistic but it's definitely something to consider! I am wishing you all of the luck in the world for Monday, you certainly deserve some good news!

FYI to any UCF applicants-- I'm just sitting on the couch mindlessly checking my applications and my UCF portal randomly changed to "admitted". I was waiting for an email but I'm glad I checked!

Nothing is more stressful than seeing results for schools you've applied to and hearing nothing all day...

I emailed the UCF ComDis department to inquire about my file being marked "incomplete". My transcripts are considered preliminary because I graduate in May. They responded almost immediately saying that a decision has been made and I will receive it by the end of next week. Which makes me wonder if I've been rejected because it seems like the accepted applicants are being notified now.

I'm sorry that this has been so stressful for you fingers crossed that you get an amazing email today!

Unfortunately, I'm not really in contact with anyone from UF that is going through the application process because I'm in the psychology major and not CSD. I wouldn't worry about USF just yet. It seems like a lot of schools are dragging this out and sending out a handful of notifications each day rather than everyone at once. I'll ask around in my major and see if anyone has heard for some reason! Don't give up hope!

Any UCF summer applicants here? I'm seeing some results and wondering how they're doing decisions. Not a huge deal, I know not many of us have applied there.

I applied in November, and the deadline at the time was February 1. Did they change it?

The email seemed really friendly and laid back, which was definitely a relief. I applied directly to the grad program, because my situation is a little tricky. As an out of field applicant with a minor in CSD, some schools classify me as a 2 year and some as a 3 year. So it's a bit confusing, which may be why they're interested in chatting with me? That's interesting that they've never done interviews before... now I'm really curious.

Another UNCG applicant here! Any news on when we should expect to hear back?

Any University of Alabama applicants? I got an email yesterday asking if I'd be available to Skype with someone from the department. They said it was "just a 10 minute chat" to get to know me a little better. They never used the word "interview" in the email so I'm a bit confused as far as the formality and how to prepare.

jmarti, trust me, once you get your first acceptance, everything will change! I've been sick with anxiety and have been aggravating my friends, my family, my boyfriend... strangers too with my constant complaints. But after getting accepted yesterday (just when I had given up on checking my email every 5 minutes) the notice came and I literally feel 50 pounds lighter! You WILL get accepted but it will be when you are completing disconnected from the situation and it'll be an amazing surprise!
