  1. I'm in the same boat! I've been so used to turning in my FAFSA in March to meet the deadline for undergrad, that it honestly didn't even occur to me to fill it out until now. i'm going to turn it in ASAP and see what happens.
  2. I just got in!!!
  3. Any Northeastern applicants here?
  4. I am literally going insane. I need to focus on my exams and I just cannot take my eyes off of my email.
  5. I ran into the issue of needing an NYU ID number. I wonder if the decisions have been divided between in-field and out-of-field applicants? If anyone that has received a decision from NYU is reading this, would you mind posting whether or not you were an in or out-of-field applicant?
  6. I guess my only real concern is that IF for some reason I am admitted, the turn-around for the scholarship applications will be so quick, as they are due this Friday! Is anyone else having that same issue?
  7. Has ANYONE gotten into NYU yet? I've seen so many rejections, which is weird to see before acceptances!
  8. jmarti, I see you've applied to FSU. Not sure if you saw the email yet, but we are supposed to hear decisions on March 10 at 5 pm! What a potentially good/terrible thing to receive during my spring break...
  9. Sorry to be a broken-record about NYU... but two rejections posted thus far today. Still nothing.... no news is good news? I wonder why they've accepted so few people at this point?
  10. Hahaha the Groupon/Livingsocial emails are killing me
  11. Yeah :/ I'm finding it impossible to study.. just keep hitting refresh. I need to stop obsessing.
  12. The results page is showing a lot of rejections today... uh oh
  13. Another Monday and another full week ahead that will hopefully bring good news! That being said, I will be obnoxiously checking my email until I receive ANYTHING from NYU...
  14. I applied to Northeastern, Columbia and NYU as well! I'm sorry to hear about your NYU rejection. Did you receive an email on Friday? I'm confused as to why so few people have heard back... I'm almost certain that this must mean either I've been rejected or waitlisted. It seems silly for a school to reject solely because of someone's Quant score though; I almost feel as if that's irrelevant in comparison to the other aspects of the application. I'm definitely with you on the anxiety... I just want to have ONE acceptance to ease my worries and help me focus on the my last semester of undergrad. I feel like every time I sit down to study, I end up getting so distracted by looking up grad school things!
  15. I'm in the same boat! I don't know how to control my anxiety for much longer!
  16. Looks like someone was accepted via the results page!
  17. Anyone waiting to hear back from NYU? The email I received last week mentioned we'd be hearing by the end of the month. Let the incessant email-checking commence!
  18. I'm an out-of-field applicant finishing up my psychology degree at University of Florida. I applied to UF, FSU, UCF, Alabama, UNC Greensboro, Columbia, NYU, Northeastern and George Washington (a lot, I know :/). Hoping to hear back from GWU asap... I was told I would have an answer this week, so hopefully tomorrow brings some good news.
  19. I applied November 15th. Do they notify everyone on the same day? Starting to freak out...
  20. For those of you accepted at GWU today, when did you apply?
  21. For those of you that applied to the summer or fall semesters for the UCF Speech-Language Pathology program, about how long did it take for you to receive an answer? It doesn't state whether or not they operate on a rolling admissions basis and I've submitted my materials SUPER early for the summer deadline. Just wondering if I should even bother checking my status or not!
  22. I'm currently in the process of applying to SLP programs for Fall 2013. My overall GPA is 3.47 with an undergraduate psychology major and 3.91 for my communication sciences and disorders minor. I know... the two GPA's don't really make much sense, but I'm hoping that admissions will be able to see that my strengths are certainly in CSD courses and that my low GPA is due to some failed soul-searching in criminology and public relations during my first two years. I took the GRE in June and got a 158 V, 156 Q, 4.5 AW. Converted to the old scale, my score is a 1300. I have registered for the GRE again in November, just to see if I can bring that score up. I know a lot of schools say "just break 1000", but I'm hoping a strong GRE will balance out my low GPA. Do you think it would be absolutely ridiculous of me to apply to top 20 schools? I do have a strong resume with shadowing, research and community service, which could help. I just don't want to waste my time/money/etc. if admissions are going to take one look at my GPA and toss my application out.
