@2011 MSW Hopeful I'm an international applicant for 2013 fall and just accepted by the MSW program of SSA. Since it's inconvenient for me to have a campus visiting or something, I hope to get more information about the programs and schools to weigh my options. I'm wondering about the situations of international students in the class of SSA. Will it be difficult for them to catch up with the courses and to find an internship? Are there any chances of TA or RA? Since I plan to apply for a Phd after finish the master degree and do research, are there any research chances and resources for the MSW students? Will the students be able to have courses of other disciplines (anthropology, sociology or so)?

Yes, I applied for the Child Welfare Scholarship program. Haven't got any news about it either...

Rejected for the Phd from UMich and accepted by the MSW program too! However they haven't mentioned about the scholarship thing...Waiting for more information about this offer.

Ah..... It sounds like a bad news...T^T...I wrote to them before and got the answer that they would release the results by March 1st via email. Although I am also losing hope for the decision...

I wrote an email asking about the decision date few days ago. They also said they will release the results by the end of Feb. Seems like the only thing we can do now is waiting...

@SimonettaSeeker I just received their email said that I was rejected to the PhD program. However they give me an opportunity for their master program. Since I'm an undergraduate, it still a good news. Thanks for the blessing! Hope you can get good news soon!!

Hi everyone! I just received the email from SSA! I applied for the AM/PhD program and been rejected (no surprise...╮(╯_╰)╭). However, they offer me an opportunity for the master program. Still an optimistic result~

Hey~ Has anyone heard something from UChicago or UMich? I applied for their MSW/PhD program and haven't got any news yet. Soooooo anxious! I wrote an email to UChicago and got their reply on Feb. 9 said that they will release the results in two weeks... Hate all these endless waiting... Hope all of us is having good news soon!

Hi roxyshoe, I'm planning to apply for the MSW program in UMich as an international applicant. After checking out the information on the school's web page，I found that the Joint Ph.D. program in social work & social science really attracted me the most. As a Chinese student with a Bachelor's degree in social work, the information i can get is limited either on the specific program or the applicaiton process. So I am wondering whether you can help provide me any advice whether on the programs of UMich (MSW or MSW/Ph.D) or the application? Thanks a lot for you kind assisstance!
