Really touch and go depending on the school. One I was violently told that no, my file was not reviewed, and that calling slows down processing my "little file". Others have been pleasant and accomodating.

The drama on here is nothing compared to the job rumors board for "professional" political scientists. Two words: Camber Warren.

I can't believe you didn't apply to the Committee on Social Thought at Chicago. They interface quite a bit between the disciplines you sketch.

Another week is here. What predictions are there for this week. I think UNC will notify early, but otherwise predict a lull in decisions before another dysenteric onslaught the last week of February.

I have phoned the DGS at Chapel Hill. No answer at his office...hmm...maybe he went to the bathroom?

Yes, still waiting. It seems those admitted yesterday were unfunded. Perhaps they are waiting to offer me a princely stipend. 8)

What do you make of this. Does Northwestern have a more efficient budget than UChicago down the street? I have a hard time believing their endowment is bigger.

Folks, I just got off the phone with Professor Markell at UChicago. They are offering me two of the nine spots. That's right, they want me to go there so bad they are going to admit me twice.

So, do you all think UT-Austin notified everyone who was accepted today?

I predict we'll hear from UNC late tomorrow (told you it'd be awhile!).
