I second psychapplicant. No such thing as "official transcript" the second you open that envelope! Plus, some programs make a big deal out of the watermark on official copies because they are too large and jam printers lol. I don't think it's a big deal, but call and ask! Best of luck!

I really don't think too many of us will be notified that early. I'm not saying the 1/10 notifications on search results are bs, but that's probably a very early acceptance primarily through a POI who really really wanted the person in their program. Most programs seem to have weekly waves of notifications so I don't think they're late in any way. To the fellow Emory and UNC Chapel Hill applicants, I suspect that the first round of offers will probably be notified late January and the first week of February. I'm with you though. These are exciting times. Best of luck to all.

I called and talked to them on the phone. They were very apologetic and said that there would be no charge for resending scores. I'm sure they'll refund your $20 if you call them up.

This happened to me too but turns out ETS had sent my scores but they were stuck in the specific school's testing department. Also, ETS doesn't charge twice for sending scores if they don't reach the school for whatever reason..

You need to send your cv, transcripts, and writing sample in hard copy. I applied to their sociology program and they had me mail that stuff to their social sciences admission people. Check with your department.

Call it quasi-esoteric mysticism or whatever you like, but I'm starting to believe that a missing letter here, a low score there is really not goin to make a difference in the grand scheme of things. What's bound to happen will happen no matter what. Also, maybe it's being older that's making me reflect on such things, but I remember a time when I applied to MA programs and I was thinking all this madness and stress will go away once I get in. Well, I got in and it was the start of something new and a lot more stress than I was used to. What I'm trying to say is, while we're all naturally stressed out about this process, for those of you going through it for the first time, just know that the threshold of this experience will only be the beginning of a new one. Savor this experience because, for those of you who get in, these will be the good old days.
