I was just notified I am on the wait list for advanced standing! Glad to finally hear and am also glad that my decision to go to psu was the right one. Good luck everyone!!

Yeah, definitely! Portland state has already started getting us connected to potential field placements for the next year so I am definitely impressed by that. I equally love both UW and PSU for different reasons so I am definitely excited to go to PSU. But I would definitely consider UW...but it may be harder to do that if it's already April. I hope some people at least start hearing back soon!

Yikes I am surprised at how late that is especially since advanced standing begins in July. I was hoping this next week would be the week

I applied to UW's advanced standing program so hopefully will hear back in the next few weeks! Anyone have any idea how good UW's financial aid package is? My only concern is being an out of state student because it can get a bit pricey. But it is such a great school so we will see!

Thanks Cali_Coast! I actually went somewhere else for my BSW but I absolutely love Portland State's program. I am still waiting to hear back from UW, but I like the fact that Portland is a bit smaller and less research focused I was so surprised to hear back from them so soon because it seems that previous years haven't heard back until March. Hope you get to hear soon!

Just got accepted into Portland State for the Advanced Standing program!!! YAAY!

Yay Social Workers! It is awesome to have so many of us going to school to work in this field. I am only apply to Portland State University and UW (I live and work in Portland at an amazing social service job...would love to stay near here!) I am applying to the Advanced Standing programs at both because I have my BSW. After months of editing and re-editing my essays...I think they're finally ready. Here is hoping for the best! Looking forward to hearing the outcomes of these applications.
