  1. I guess I should take it that I am officially out at Washington. Congrats to those who were accepted!
  2. I'm right there with you. I've been hitting up all of my favorite Mexican/Tex-Mex places lately, since I know I won't be here after July!
  3. Anyone think we'll hear from Florida today or tomorrow?
  4. Yes!!! I love Annie's Cheddar Bunnies!
  5. I'm with you there! I'm amazed to have any offers, let alone 3!
  6. I'm still waiting to hear something, although I'm sure it will be a reject at this point.
  7. Thank you very much! Congrats! Now I'm right back to refreshing my email!
  8. In at ASU! It's great to get some good news after 3 straight rejects!
  9. Condolences to everyone who is a part of today's red wave. Rough way to start the morning.
  10. Eek. I applied for American also, but didn't have an interview. Hope starting to fade.
  11. Anyone claiming the UWashington admits? My productive Sunday has just gone to hell.
  12. I'm not saying it's aliens...but it's aliens.
  13. lol Same here. I've been refreshing my email hoping to hear something from anyone. Oh well...there's always next week...and the week after...and so on and so forth...
  14. One of my advisers told me to never to go there. She showed it to me once, and basically said it was horrible, and to never let it sway me away b/c it's largely the vocal minority. I hope she's right!
  15. Eek! That is a bit of a downer.
  16. I hope that's correct! I know there are a few of us that have been waiting to hear something from them!
  17. Did you really green arrow your own post? Lame.
  18. Yup, I'm still waiting to hear from UFL as well. A whole lot of nothing at this point.
  19. Congrats! Let's get some more green on the board folks!
  20. No one in my family had attended college or moved more than 15 miles away from the city I was raised. I informed my mom I wanted to do both, and wanted to go out of state for college. Right away, her reaction was very negative. She basically told me she would not help me pay for it if I went anywhere out of the city we already lived in. So I stopped caring. Did the bare minimum to graduate, and got a job right out of high school. The job I got was very good, and I loved it. However, after 5 years, I got laid off. So I bounced around from job to job, got married, and relocated 2.5 hours from home for another job. I was still young and making dumb decisions, and eventually got fired from that job. My wife and I discussed the fact that one of us had to go to school, and we decided it would be me. I went to the local county college, and did well enough to transfer to a larger 4 year university where I am currently finishing my BS. I never thought I would graduate from college, let alone have the opportunity to go to grad school. Part of my motivation comes from the fact that I will have a 2 year old daughter when I enroll for grad school. I want to show her that going to college is something she should strive for. If it weren't for the support of my wife, I would have never made it this far.
  21. I agree with this. Until someone who has been posting on here for a while claims them, I always remain highly suspicious.
  22. One of my profs said the same thing about trusting your gut on your visits. He said o remember that they are going to be on their very best behavior, so if things start seeming fishy/fake, or there are obviously disgruntled students, definitely take note in that.
  23. I was enjoying the green on the results page as well. Hopefully we can get some better news later today to get it back in shape!
  24. I am about to lose it waiting for UWashington! I feel like I have such a good fit there! Aghhh!
