Congrats to those with an acceptance! A special congrats to OSU admits! Bear is an incredible person and should be reason enough to be excited for visitation week. Good luck to all in the process. I remember being in your shoes a year ago and understand it can be nerve wrecking. Let the process play out and things work out in the end. I look forward to seeing some of you in Columbus during visits. Cheers!

There are 6 episodes. Youtube "Columbus Neighborhoods" and you will see the series. Each are about an hour long.

Look at Ohio State (Nooruddin) and U of Michigan (Hicken). Good scholars and in comparative.

I'm happy to join in on the housing search too. Going to OSU for PhD in Political Science! Really excited about. So much so that I watched a series of Columbus' historical neighborhoods, including Victorian Village, Short North, Downtown, University District, etc. Yeah, I couldn't help it.

This thread has been silent compared to 3 months ago. But I am glad people have begun to settle to their schools. For those still waiting, keep the faith. Believe me, it all works out for you in the end if you are determined! I look forward to meeting all of you in conferences and classes. After all, we are all colleagues now

My application cycle is over. It is a relief! I feel I should be happy to have had 2 offers on my first try. Counting my blessings I will be sticking around to see where people end up going.

Ready for all of this to wind down. Really hope my options are clear by then end of the week. Then I can enjoy making plans to meet you fine people on visitation days! =D

It warms me to know you have succeeded this year.
