Although I have heard from some, I am still waiting to hear from the majority (7 out of 10) of the schools.
I was beginning to think that I was the only one still waiting
I hope it is a good sign for both of us and that acceptance letters (or any kind of response would work for me at this point!) will come soon.
I completely know what you mean.
Starting from the time I submitted my last application, my biggest fear was letting my recommenders know that I didn't get in anywhere.
Especially because they kept mentioning that I had 'top schools' in my list. Were they hinting that I was aiming too high or just stating a fact? I don't know
Anyhow, that scared me more than just the plain fact that I might not get in anywhere.
One of my application reviewers has emailed me asking if I have interests in either of two ongoing research projects that he is directing. He mentioned that he could be willing to work with me to formulate a new project intersecting music and creative work (My ideal project is intersection computer science and music therapy).
It's from one of my top schools, but I don't really know what it means.
Do most applicants get this sort of email?
