  1. So I called U of T and was told that we will hear back by END of next week >:T
  2. I guess U of T really is waiting until April 15th to send out their acceptances...I was hoping that April 15th would be the last day and that all first round offers would have been out by then, but I guess not :T
  3. For the 2 year program, York provides a minimum of $9k the first year and $6k for the second year of study (for full time students). This is provided in a graduate assistantship, i.e. assisting a Faculty member in their research for a few hours per week. These amounts are in addition to the scholarships and bursaries that are available for students to apply for.
  4. I should have known too, given all the feedback from people on this forum about their process last year. Here's the update from York's twitter account: Graduate SocialWork ‏@YorkUgradsowk Admissions Update: Sent the 1st ROUND of offers to every program EXCEPT the 2-Year F/T MSW. Hopefully we'll have those out next week.
  5. I am surprised that more people didn't apply to York, given that they are fully funded. York offers $15k for full time graduate students. I know that U of T does not, but do the other universities offer funding as well?
  6. I called York last month and they said results would be out by end of March, early April. Then I called again on Friday for an update, and they said they're unexpectedly behind and hope for mid-April (unfortunately).
  7. I've noticed that not many people have applied to York's 2-year program. For those that have, has anyone heard back? I called the department and was advised that decisions should be made by end of this week and into early next week.
  8. Congratulations to everyone that has been accepted thus far! I called York's office this morning and was advised that offers for the 2-year MSW will start going out at the end of this month. I was surprised since it sounds like York was unorganized the previous years, but I guess they fixed the issues! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.
  9. Hey, to anyone that has applied to U of T and has been rejected before: do you know if the committee looks at the previous application?
  10. The administrator told me that 950 is just for the two year.
  11. Hello, in regards to you this comment, how do you know that it is sorted by predetermined criteria, such as GPA? As for the question about how many applicants U of T had this year, I called in and heard that it was approximately 950 applicants which is more competitive than last year. Approximately 120 students are accepted. Good luck to everyone!
