UKers have it slightly easier on Twitter, but I've found nothing useful posted =( https://twitter.com/FulbrightAwards
-
Oh oh pick me! That hasn't changed for me! =P
-
46 awards is great, but for partnership universities there's only 1 per school.... =(
-
But they said mid March! This is mid-March! If I find out finals week I will cry.
-
Nothing here either... I think I was notified at 12 pm for my interview and 4 pm for being recommended (ish)
-
Oops. I clearly need to have checked this site more in evenings

In the next 24 hours, I will hopefully find out my future life path. No pressure....gosh 2 roads meet at a crossroads, which do you take? The road less traveled or the only one in front of you? Or leaving the path entirely?

I'm an engineer. There is no such thing as too nerdy =p

Hahaha all of my posts have been to this thread. I found this thread by googling information about Fulbright UK applications and the process. Do I also have a problem? Absolutely. As well as a lack of patience.
-
It's my new instinct when I'm browsing the Internet- instead of Facebook, I check this thread. Plus, since last year the selected candidates were notified before the ones who weren't selected, I want to find out if I should already mentally prepare myself for a nice big rejection email. =P

Sadly my brain hasn't hit that stage yet.... Stupid brain.

I understand... UK applicants have been notified on Monday or Tuesday in the past 3 years as well, but it's totally unknown since the interviews are so late. However, this also means my stress levels increase exponentially as the time approaches 5 pm EST. While it is nice to bond with everybody over the worries/uncertainties of life and this process, anybody have suggestions on dealing with and managing all the stress and anxiety that comes with waiting? (Besides trying to work on other things, because it isn't working out so well). Part of the difficulty comes from the fact that we're supposed to be notified this week/it's expected any day or minute now....
-
Thanks guys- I really really appreciate it! I can keep dreaming for now....
-
Gah crap crap sinking feeling in my stomach because it looks like people who were selected were notified first.... To confirm, nobody else has heard?
-
Also, not going to lie- I just looked up every past notification date for Fulbright in the UK, and it's been on a Monday-Wednesday the past few years, which is making me panic more... =P

Part of why I lurk is that I don't know anybody else applying for fellowships, and it's nice to feel like somebody can understand and relate. If I bring it up to my friends, they either tell me 'oh, you'll totally get it' and don't understand my realistic chances, or they just ask me what I'm doing next year, which I don't know yet. Plus, if I miss an email, I can tell right away if I should also check or just wasn't selected. Also, downside of being in school- stressful papers/finals/assignments makes you freak out about everything even more because everything is stressful all the bloody time.... I just want to know, dang it!
-
They did say mid March so I think it's fair to say we should know by Friday at the latest. But I'd rather know today than tomorrow or Thursday.... Argh. And I'd guess between 9-5 ES5
-
Oh my gosh mine does the same.
-
Edited because I found the answer online blaaaaah
-
Hm. I also would like to know this. Indonesia people, any insight?
-
I agree! I wish we'd just find out today- every day is a little tortuous... I even snapped at a friend for asking me about it today- I felt really bad
-
So..... Anybody else back to panicking for the weekdays? This week is mid-March! Eep.

What time zone was that country though?
