  1. I emailed sshrc a couple days ago and they said they will be released in April.
  2. I think we all get a little bi-polar this time around! Looks like the Vanier awards have been disbursed! Won't be long now!
  3. So.... How goes the wait, all?
  4. Thanks Konstantin. It looks like same timeline as last year.
  5. Perhaps. If you look at past forums you'll note that from the latter half of April to mid May people get their results. We can speculate but the trend is always during end April and early May.
  6. Yeah, May seems extraordinarily long compared to previous years.
  7. According ot a recent tweet from SSHRC, it's looking like another 2 months folks. SSHRC ‏@SSHRC_CRSH 1h1 hour ago @erikaashley89 From our team here, the doctoral results should be mailed in May.
  8. Good Question. I would think so....
  9. FYI for those looking for the MA SSHRC thread it's over here:
  10. Yeah, sorry, misinterpreted you there.
  11. We wont hear anything for another month at the very earliest I would advise against this in case you get a rejection in a month and have to email them back with negative news.
  12. Thanks for keeping us posted!
  13. This year will be different!!
  14. A friend of mine applied this year. I told her about this forum - I'll keep you guys post if I hear anything back from her.
  15. Whoops. I read that as a .pdf letter rather than post-doc fellowship.
  16. I just read over at the NSERC thread that people are getting letters already... Still means nothing to SSHRC but at least we know award season's approaching.
  17. No kidding. Considering CHIR, NSERC, and the MA SSHRC are all on the online portal now. What gives?!
  18. Anyone hear back from their institution if they were passed on to Ottawa yet? ...Still waiting here.
  19. Hey there, Have a look in previous threads - I believe people were being notified of getting out to SSHRC (Ottawa) as early as mid December and then awarded in mid March. GL.
  20. Yeah you absolutely need to stay in the 2 pages or else you will get cut. I did APA in text citation (citations kept to a minimum) then in the 5 page bibliography, I included my citations in there. I would stay away from footnotes as it takes up valuable space where you can write your proposal!
  21. That time of year again. Might as well start the thread up the day after I submitted my application. Third time's a charm right? Good luck to all applicants this year!
  22. Thanks. On another note, are they still wait listing applications?
  23. Hi everyone. I heard from my department that I was not successful. That being said, when log into my profile I see: Canada Graduate Scholarships - Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements Does anyone know what this could mean? I am not trying to get my hopes up at this point - but, is it possible that maybe there has been some miscommunication with my department and the FGSR? EDIT: Just checked on previous posts. Apparently it means nothing. LOL. Congrats to everyone who got one. I'll join you as sshrc scholars next year (hopefully).
