Was accepted to U of T's crim MA program yesterday! I didn't receive any funding though... Would it be good idea to e-mail them back and mention that while I would like to consider their program, I have competitive offers from other schools and that might get them to agree to something? Not sure how to go about this.

Mine was insane. I had just gotten off the phone with my mother who told me a friend of the family had gotten into a very serious car accident. While he was ok, I was really shaken up and crying. I happened to check my e-mail and there was the e-mail from Queen's - full funding and an OGS. My emotions did a 180 and I couldn't stop shaking, haha.

Haha - well, I try. Truth be told I have no idea how to work this website yet

Thank you very much It was my top choice, so I am very happy enough I haven't heard from anyone else. I will have to give them a call this week anyways, considering I have until April 2nd to accept Queen's offer. Good luck! I hope that a big package is waiting for you in the mail Monday! I applied to York for socio-legal studies and haven't heard a peep. Hopefully something will come up soon!

I haven't heard anything either... and its the end of the week. Both of my statuses (I applied to crim as well) still say Under Review. What about yours? I have a great offer from Queen's, so I'm ok though. York I haven't heard a peep out of.

Ah ok. I'm waiting on the sociology MA program. Apparently the department has made their decisions but they are just waiting on the Dean of Graduate Studies to sign off on it. So... if not tomorrow I should hear by next week. At least I hope so...

May I ask what program this was for?

Here's hoping! I'm going nuts over here. The dream was so clear though. I was looking at a letter and whispered "I got accepted to Queen's" Oh please let my dream come true!

Hey guys - if there is anyone waiting on Queens sociology MA admissions, I contacted the school and they said the decisions have been made but they are just waiting on word from the dean of graduate studies to consider the admits for funding. Should be hearing late this week or early next. I'm so nervous!!

I'm applying to the MA program there, and yea - its pretty stiff competition. I heard some another person on this board that the admissions committee are sitting this week. Maybe we ail hear something by Friday?

I have applied to the Centre for Criminiology and Sociolegal studies MA program at Toronto... I wonder if they were be deciding the MA admissions at the same time?
