I really don't know Shoaceptual, did you only apply and interview to the SAIC photo program? Then maybe. Only an offer letter/phone call/ web portal/email confirming 'acceptance' is a true confirmation. It's possible that we have an acceptance, but financial aid sent out their notification before the letter from the department came. If that fin aid packet comes in the mail before any word from your department, it might have acceptance info in there. But for me it's possible that that email pertained to my other acceptance in art admin instead if sculpture.

Your welcome! Have you visited CCA? or know someone who went there for school? I wasn't able to visit and really don't know how it will fit me. I applied to two programs at SAIC. I received an email on 3/6 about award notifications that a package will be sent in the mail, but I think its for the Arts Admin program I was accepted to previously? But i remember already getting one. So now I'm thoroughly confused about my Sculpture application. I have no clue!!!! gah.. its confusing. Did you go out in person for you interview at SAIC as well? Check the CCA web portal. I just saw on the results page someone posted how to login to see your status. Go to webadvisor.cca.edu. - Username: "cca" + "ID number" - Password: mmddyy - Prospective Students >> Admission Status Mine says 'Congratulations-Admitted' But I haven't heard any official notification from the department. So I suppose I'm in but just waiting for official notifications that go out mid march? I have no word on funding.

Congrats Kierstin! That's awesome! I'm hopping they are still making decisions and phone calls over the next couple days.

I have no clue how my SAIC interview went. I met some amazing people while I was there, especially some of the other applicants. Did anyone find out when they would notify or how? I'm going to just try to forget thinking about it for now and get into the right mindset for my next interview at RISD.

Where is this Results section that you speak of? Is it in the main grad cafe forum area instead of the arts section?

The questions were the usual Why an mfa and now why cca Questions about studio practice What artists inspire you? And two more kinda related to the above that I can't pinpoint It was a casual conversation. Hope that helps! Good luck!

How did your interview go? I think mine went well, we went well over the time we were suppose to have. He kept impressing that it would be best to visit. the dual campus thing is a little awkward, but they have a dedicated grey hound like bus to shuttle you back and forth. Sculpture facilities in oakland but then your studio and most of your grad classes in san fran? how do you feel about that?

MFA under my columbia sculpture application gone as well…. What a bizarre process.

How are my sculpture peeps fairing in here? The admissions stress is getting old and I'm finally getting back into a studio mentality. I kinda wish I had access to a forge… I haven't done it in so long, but i remember how banging on some hot iron was very stress relieving.

Thanks for sharing Herki! I was a little concerned since my interview had to be at the end of March. I booked my flight and stay at the 'guest house' on campus. For airport transportation, I also opted for paying for a ride through students instead of renting a car or getting a taxi. I figured that that it was also part of that student's income somehow.

I think they are important for competitive fellowship/scholarships that could come with acceptance and I need to visit the school anyways to see if they are a good fit for me. I won't be able to travel in april when I've got to make decisions on where to go.

Me for RISD too. I'm going to end up flying nearly every thursday or friday in march.

I did miss a phone call from CCA then when i tried to call back it was the main number and no one knew where to send me. So i'll just keep waiting. Chicago! So excited… and slightly nervous. We are able to bring new work, but i only have in progress items for big projects.

California College of Art offers me an interview a couple weeks ago for Sculpture and then doesn't follow up with a Skype interview date and time. I have made a followup email and phone call. The department is interviewing this week and it makes me nervous. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? Other news, Im keeping my Cranbrook March 28th interview in person… apparently i wasn't the only one with conflicting schedules for the Feb 28th request.

Seems to be running about 350-450 with the difference only being the change fee. i might be worth the 100 to interview earlier if i get a response faster. Thanks Ismewilde, I hate being rushed. I think if they are willing to do my interview in person on March 3rd instead of the 28th of Feb I could handle that. Else if I try to interview on the 28th, then take a direct flight from Detroit from Chicago the only evening flight gets me in late enough the night before my interview that I wouldn't wind down to get fully rested for my next day. I already know how grumpy I am without a good night's sleep. Itsyours313, are you interviewing on the 28th of march? From the sounds of the email, it seems pretty casual.

Ahhhh!!!!… now cranbrook is trying to convince me to do their interview on the same weekend as my SAIC interview (March 1st). That would mean I need to pay a 100 fee just to change my flight itinerary, but at least i wouldn't have to wait the better part of a month to interview in the same region. I don't know what to do….

I just got an email from Cranbrook Academy for an in person interview on March 28th. They had an earlier date, but it conflicts with my SAIC interview.

Yes, I filled out my fafsa and they have the most up to date information. My app status still says pending too.

Oh, was anyone else here applying to Ohio State? I just got an email requesting additional financial aid information confirming if you will take 'tuition reimbursement and TA work' and how much. Completely confusing since i haven't received any kind of admissions information yet. There is an option for 'I applied but have not heard back yet' so i guess thats what I will respond with. My brain is starting to feel like its melting…
