  1. Thanks for all this info! It's a little confusing to someone like myself who also has to take the intro level classes.
  2. You should tell Revolution!
  3. About 2-3 hours later than everyone else, I had given up. But I got in (no $, but I'm not surprised)!!! So now have to add SIPA to my Fletcher ($) versus SAIS debate.
  4. I've never even been to D.C.! (once when I was 8, but basically never). I'm actually from New York, so either place would be new to me. Honestly, I didn't think I would get into these places so I'm sort of stunned by this decision! Very excited/honored to go to either. I'm sure the open houses will be helpful.
  5. Would love to hear why some people chose Fletcher over SAIS or Elliott. I got 10k from Fletcher, nothing from SAIS, but I like the idea of being in Bologna/D.C. than Boston.
  6. Anyone else still waiting?
  7. Let me know what your thoughts on SAIS Bologna versus Fletcher! Those are my choices right now. I'm tempted by SAIS, but I got some money from Fletcher.
  8. I'm the same way, honestly. I have ideas what I'd like or be interested in, but I hope that whichever school I go to points me in the right direction. Currently am interested in human rights, but I don't have any work experience in the field. (just waiting for Revolution to point to me as someone not worth studying with...I may not have the same experiences as others, but I've worked in journalism, and speak several obscure languages).
  9. So the consensus is that SIPA's career services is less helpful than at SAIS or Fletcher?
  10. Hopefully he'll tone things down so he stops getting people upset. I'm actually pleasantly surprised, actually, that he seems to be the exception rather than the norm. I was afraid to look at these forums until I had been accepted. Very excited to have gotten in where I have, I know I won't be making much money after, but hopefully doing something I love. And I hope that wherever we end up, there's a congenial atmosphere. I'm sure my fellow classmates at SAIS or Tufts will teach me a lot. I'm pretty intimidated...pretty sure everyone there is much smarter than me! Shoot me a message if you want to chat regarding my debate about SAIS-Bologna, Tufts, or Columbia if I get in
  11. I'm curious about the fellowship as well. Guessing that means I wasn't as competitive a candidate since I didn't get one. Oh well, I was completely floored that they accepted me at all.
  12. Same here. Didn't get money from either so that's not a factor. I'm thinking the SAIS name will win me over. Might be going to the open house.
  13. Very excited to get in! Was a bit surprised by the Bologna, but am psyched. Only problem is no funding Anyone else with little econ background? I'm worried that SAIS will be too tough for me!
  14. No funding from GW either. They mentioned financial aid but you wouldn't find out until June? Might be going to SAIS!
  15. Hah I feel dumb for asking before looking at the admissions blog. The MIA program, you?
  16. Has anyone heard yet? What are the odds of getting in if I've also been accepted to SAIS (very happy).
