I got mine this morning too. It's their standard form letter, the same as I got last year when I had the audacity to apply to the PhD program. Whoops!
It is a very encouraging letter - the best rejection letter I got! It's not ME, it's THEM!!
Oh yeah, that's rough. I'm reeling thinking about the cost of moving across the country. We're a family of four living in California, so we've got some major downsizing to do to make this doable!
Yeah, I noticed the same thing and felt frustrated too. Oh well. I've resigned myself that I'm getting my second rejection from Notre Dame in as many years. Unless I get great news from Yale today, I'll be heading to Boston College!
Did anyone else get a surge of (false?) hope seeing that someone was accepted to Notre Dame just yesterday?! It said, "Theology, Masters" and I'm assuming that means MTS. I feel like it's more of a cruel mirage than reason to hope, but I still can't help myself. Anyone else hear back from ND?
Well, I just checked the website for my status - denied. Haven't gotten an email yet, though. So check your applications even if you haven't heard!
Congratulations to those who got in, and good luck to everyone else!
Not sure if anyone here has applied to Boston College, but I got an email today that I was accepted to the MTS program!! Funding information to follow via snail mail.
Yay!! So happy I finally get to post something on this thread! I love reading everyone's stories. Mine is kinda boring, but that's how it goes!
I had just picked my son up from school and was stopping home for just a few minutes before taking him to his friend's house for a playdate. I got on the computer to print something, and there it was!!
I know - YAWN, right? They can't all be gems. But this one is mine...
I thought everyone had until April 15 to make decisions on whether to accept an offer? See this link:
https://www.cgsnet.org/ckfinder/userfiles/files/CGS_Resolution.pdf
Are these schools just not part of the resolution? That seems crazy that they would ask students to decide before April 15. Good luck to you, in any case!
I'm trying to channel my nervous energy into positive things. I've taken up running and have a goal to run 3 straight miles within the next 5 weeks. I'm also doing a lot of organizing around the house. I clean when I get stressed, so I'm thinking my house will be immaculate by mid-March! Otherwise obsessively checking email and the GradCafe forums and results pages. Every day feels like 100 years!
